In this video I go through the steps of making a delicious slow cooker lasagna. This is great for anyone who wants to prepare dinner hours ahead so that it’s ready for whenever you’re ready to eat.
Not just this recipe but all slow cooker recipes are great for when it comes to cooking for a crowd. You can put simply prepare ahead of time and have a big enough meal to feed quite a few people.
One downside to cooking a lasagna in a slow cooker is that it does take a bit of time to prepare. However, this is also true when you go to cook it in the oven. The pro doing it this way is that you can have it cooking ahead of time so you can do other stuff whilst it is cooking.
If you don’t eat it all then the leftovers will freeze or keep in the fridge really well. Whenever you need it, simply microwave until it is nice and hot.
I use dried herbs in this recipe but you can also use fresh if you’re able to get them. Just simply chop them up before adding to your Bolognese sauce.
Now if you don’t have the time to make a cheese sauce then a super simple replacement is to combine a few different cheeses. This includes the following 1 cup ricotta, 1 cup grated parmesan and 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese.
There are a lot of ingredients in this recipe so if you need the full list then you can find it at the website linked above.
