This comes originally from Keto_okie on instagram, and it has spread like wildfire as CHAFFLES around facebook as well so much so that I even bought a waffle maker ( alas not the dash waffle maker cause it’s not available in the UK ) again to make it happen after having to leave my old one behind when we moved. I have a feeling more cheese on the outside layer would make it properly crispy like, I should have dared more, but nevertheless, this soothes that weird craving for anything flour based such as waffles indeed or sandwich bread, with no flours in sight whatsoever. I made these naturally egg fast friendly being the standard rule of : 1 egg, per 1tbsp fat, per 1oz cheese.
Macros per mini waffles (assuming the 1 egg each, 0 carbs depend on the cheese you are using and if any anti caking agent has been used)
260kcal, 0g carbs, 23g fat, 13g protein (80% Fat)
INGREDIENTS
1 egg
30g / 1oz shredded cheese (cheddar for savoury, mozzarella for sweet waffles)
(optional) 15g / 1tbsp butter to grease the iron
