Kodo Millet(Varagu) : 1 small cup
Carrot : 1/2 cup(chopped)
Beans : 1/2 cup(chopped)
Tomato : 1/2 cup(chopped)
Onion : 1/2 cup(cut lengthwise)
Lemon juice from 1/2 a lemon
Peas : 1/2 cup
Ginger : 1/2 inch
Garlic : 6-7 pods
Make a paste from Ginger & Garlic
Fennel Seeds : 1 tbsp
Bay Leaf : 1
Black Peppercorns : 3
Cloves : 2-3
Green Cardamom : 1
Cumin Seeds : 1 tsp
Green Chili : 2(slit lengthwise) (OPTIONAL)
(Skip green Chili if making this for babies or small children)
Black pepper powder : 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon powder : 1/4 tsp
Cinnamon stick : 1/2 inch piece
Garam Masala Powder : 1/4 tsp
Salt : 1/2-1 tsp or as per taste
Turmeric powder : a pinch
Clarified Butter(Ghee) : 1 tbsp
Oil or butter can also be used,
in place of ghee here
Water : 2.5 cup
Ratio of Kodo millets : water should be 1 : 2.5
