Lunch Menu Recipes/ Three Recipes/easy to follow for beginners and bachelors /Kerala Special NO: 2

Ingredients:
For fish kudampuli curry:
Fish – 500g
Fenugreek – A pinch
Garlic – 8 fat cloves
Onion – ½ of a medium / Shallots – 4
Ginger – 3 small pieces
Curry leaves
Cambodge / Kudampuli – 4 small (Soaked)
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Coriander powder – ½ tbsp
Red chilly powder – 2 tbsp
Asafoetida / hing

For cauliflower-potato mezhukupuratti:
Cauliflower – 650g
Potato – 2 big
Shallots – 3 big (Crushed)
Garlic – 6 big cloves (Crushed)
Curry leaves
Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
Red chilly powder – 1 tsp

For fish fry:
Fish – 250g
Salt
Lemon juice
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Red chilly powder – 1 tsp
Pepper powder – ¼ tsp

Steps:
Marinate fish with salt, lemon juice, turmeric powder, red chilly powder and pepper powder for frying for atleast half an hour.

Heat oil in a clay pot for making fish curry.
Add a pinch of fenugreek.
Add onion, ginger, garlic, green chilly and curry leaves.
When onion turns soft, lower the flame and add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilly powder.
Add water to cook fish, kudampuli along with the water and salt.
Cover and bring it to boil.
Add fish. Bring it to boil. Cover and cook on low flame for another 10-15 minutes.
Add asafoetida and switch off.

Heat oil in a pan for cauliflower-potato mezhukupuratti.
Add crushed shallots and garlic, curry leaves.
When onion turns soft, lower the flame and add turmeric powder and red chilly powder.
Add potato, cauliflower and salt.
Sprinkle some water. Cover and cook on medium flame till the vegetables are done.
Switch off.

Heat oil in a pan and fry fish on medium flame adding some curry leaves.
Serve fish kudampuli curry, cauliflower – potato mezhukupuratti and fish fry with hot rice and enjoy the meal.
