Poppy seeds (Khus Khus)-100 gm
Roast khus khus for 3 minutes in a pan, let it cool before washing, soak for 2 hours after washing (you can also soak it overnight).
Charoli (chironji)-25 gm
Cardamom powder-1 spoon
Clarified butter-125 gm
Heat a vessel, add jaggery, add little water.
Grate the khova.
Add poppy seeds to the mixer jar with little milk and grind. Check in between while grinding, if needed add milk and grind.
Heat a pan, add 1/2 tablespoon clarified butter, add charoli, add chopped almonds, add chopped cashewnuts, add chopped dried dates and roast.
Heat a pan, add 1 tablespoon clarified butter, add grinded poppy seeds and stir, add grated khova and cook for 15 minutes on medium flame, add 1/2 tablespoon clarified butter, add milk and cook for 20 minutes on high flame, add 1 tablespoon clarified butter, add almonds, add charoli, add cashewnuts, add cardamom powder, add liquid jaggery and mix well and cook for 15 minutes on high flame, add 1/2 tablespoon clarified butter and stir for 1 minute. Garnish with dry fruits. Khus Khus ka halwa is ready.
