WHAT I EAT IN A DAY // HEALTHY // EASY RECIPES

Hey everyone, in todays video I’m sharing what I ate in a day. I like to eat a Whole Foods plant based diet as I find it makes me feel my best and helps me get all the nutrients I need to be happy, healthy and energized. I do not support or recommend counting calories because it is simply unnecessary and can cause unhealthy obsessions/habits. I believe in eating whole plants in abundance without restriction (eat when your hungry and stop when your full). I like to eat pretty simple and easy meals on a daily basis, nothing to complicated or that takes to long to prepare. My main staples are usually oats, sweet potatoes/potatoes, brown rice and beans/legumes and along with them lots of greens, fruits and veggies: I like to eat a variety of fruits and veggies on a daily/weekly basis just to ensure that I’m getting all the nutrients I need and it adds a lot of variety to my staples. I hope this video can inspire you to make healthier choices and give you some meal ideas to try out for yourself. 🙂

Chocolate Spiced Oatmeal:
Rolled Oats
Liquid of choice (non-dairy milk or water)
Mashed Ripe Banana
Turmeric (Optional)
Ginger
Cinnamon
Carob/Cocoa/Cacao powder

Add all the ingredients into a pot and cook on medium heat (stirring constantly) until desired consistency is reached. Pour into a bowl and top with you favorite fruit. (:

Pasta Salad:
Pasta of choice (I used brown rice and red lentil)
Veggies of choice (I chose mushrooms, beets, peas, carrots, and greens)
Brown mustard
Paprika
Red pepper flakes
Apple cider vinegar

Cook pasta according to package. Cook/prep your veggies. Add into a big bowl and toss with dressing (you can change the spices for any of your favorite spices if you’d prefer, I like using brown mustard and apple cider vinegar as the base and I’ll add in whatever spices I fancy at the moment). Serve in a bowl and enjoy! (:
